Ph.D. Candidate in Social Work, Clinical Social Worker
Molly Roussel is a Clinical Social Worker and Student Researcher whose practice is rooted in a rigorous, evidence-based approach. A Ph.D. candidate in Social Work at the University of Ottawa, she holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with distinction as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Moncton.

Currently practicing at Centre Mieux-Être, she supports individuals facing a variety of psychosocial challenges. Committed to providing adapted and innovative interventions, she is currently training in EMDR therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and nature-based intervention, which gradually enriches her trauma-informed therapeutic approach.

With a background in child protection and psychosocial intervention, Molly has developed a deep understanding of vulnerable populations' realities. She is actively involved in training future generations of professionals as a lecturer at the University of Moncton, where she teaches Health Sociology. She also supervises a Master’s-level social work intern, contributing to the clinical skill development of emerging social workers.

Academically, she has been involved in multiple research projects related to social work practice, mental health, and nature-based and sports interventions. Her research explores how outdoor activities can promote psychological well-being, and she has presented her work at international conferences, including the World Congress of Sociology of Sport, where she highlighted the mental health benefits of outdoor interventions.

Molly is a member of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers and the Alliance of Social Workers in Sports (ASWIS). She combines clinical commitment, scientific rigor, and a drive for innovation, embodying a holistic vision of individual and collective well-being.
