Karen Coulombe, TS, B.Sc,
Travailleuse sociale
My name is Karen Coulombe, and I am a social worker. I hold a bachelor's degree in social work and am a member of the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec.
Through my education and years of experience working with diverse clienteles, I have gained extensive knowledge and developed as well as strengthened my skills in intervention, whether individual, family, or group-based.
I have accumulated more than 20 years of experience in helping relationships. Since 2008, I have been working in the healthcare network, primarily supporting youth and their families. However, my experience has allowed me to develop great versatility, and I feel comfortable working with clients of all ages.
My role has always been centered on supporting individuals throughout their journey, helping them restore balance in their lives, and guiding them in developing concrete strategies for their well-being.
My approach is first and foremost human-centered and personalized. I draw inspiration mainly from the humanistic approach and the solution-focused approach, while also incorporating elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy. These methods allow me to meet the specific needs of each individual while fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
I am particularly sensitive to the importance of active listening and professional rigor. My commitment to people and my constant dedication to providing high-quality services that respect their needs are at the heart of my practice.
