Clinical social worker

Cassandra Forand has always known she wanted a career where she could help others. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mount Allison University (2019) and later earned a master’s degree in social work from Université de Moncton (2024). Her thesis, titled “At the Intersection of Experiences: Better Understanding the Trajectories of Women in Situations of Poverty Experiencing Mental Health Issues,” allowed her to deepen her expertise in this area. She has been a registered clinical social worker since 2024.

Cassandra uses an intersectional feminist approach in her practice. She also has experience working with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and is sensitive to their unique challenges. It is essential for her to welcome everyone without judgment. Additionally, she has experience in community mental health, supporting people who have experienced domestic violence, family violence, and various forms of sexual trauma. She has also assisted individuals struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Cassandra is passionate about counselling and social justice. She loves her profession and is dedicated to gaining further experience to better serve the community.
