Jessica Paradis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with a minor in Biology) and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the Université de Moncton. She earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Dalhousie University, specializing in clinical practice. A registered social worker since 2016, she has also been a member of the National Institute of Forensic Social Work since 2019.
Jessica has held various positions in community mental health and forensic psychiatry. She specializes in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Narrative Therapy. She works primarily with adults and has a an interest in supporting separated parents experiencing co-parenting challenges.
Her expertise lies in Clinical Forensic Social Work, which integrates clinical social work practices with forensic knowledge to address the complex needs of individuals involved in legal contexts. She has conducted parenting capacity assessments and voice of the child assessments. Her primary area of interest includes threat and violence risk assessments, violence prevention and safety planning.
