Magela Van der Pluijm (she/her), MACP, Licensed Counselling Therapist Candidate Applicant 

Magela earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Allison University in 2022 and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2025. As of June 2025, Magela is a Licensed Counselling Therapist Candidate applicant with the College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB) and a registered professional member with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Prior to working in the mental health field, Magela worked primarily with young children on the autism spectrum. She recently completed her practicum placement with Mind at Peace, where she had the opportunity to work with diverse client backgrounds and expand her clinical knowledge.


Magela is passionate about providing a comfortable and welcoming environment conducive to collaboration and exploration into what is most important to her clients through evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches. Magela practices with an eclectic combination of cognitive-behavioural, person-centred and strength-based methodologies. Magela maintains up-to-date through her education, training and ongoing supervision, with a deep desire for professional development.
